Description |
I.C.S. French Language Record Cylinder and Canister. I.C.S. stands for International Correspondence School. The Edison Standard Model C Phonograph was sold specifically for language instructional records. These language records played at 90 rpms, as opposed to 160 rpms for entertainment records. A repeater lever was installed on the Model C phonographs in order for users to "rewind" the cylinder so a section could be listened to several times without having to lift the reproducer off of the record. |
