Description |
When Edison came out with his 4-minute black wax Amberol series, a conversion kit was sold, so it was possible to play the new Amberol cylinders if one had an Edison Standard 2-minute phonograph. With the kit came ten "free" 4-minute records, These ten records didn't have a catalog number but were labeled A, B, C, D, E, F, G, H, I, J and K. This canister was labeled Special J and the song was always the same for each letter. Every Special J Amberol record was "The Hermit's Bell Overture." This canister and cylinder would have been produced about 1908. |
