Description |
Thomas Edison took over the Splitdorf Radio Corporation in 1928 and it became his radio division under Thomas Edison Inc. During the 1930s, the Edison-Splitdorf Corp. produced electrical products, including generators and spark plugs. His son, Charles Edison, was the president of this corporation. A spark plug of this size would have been used on vehicles such as the Model T. Dimensions: a- W 3 3/4" (9.5 cm) H 1 3/16" (3 cm) D 1 3/16" (3 cm) b- H 3 1/2" (9 cm) W 1" (2 1/2 cm) = diameter of plug Marks: a- "Edison Spark Plug" b- on porcelain "Edison Albanite made in United States of America 35" Physical Description: a- Orange with Black print and Black with Orange print; box has a slight tear on main flap at one end b- plug is worn; A tapered mix of metal and porcelain with the thicker side housing a curved metal prong |
