Description |
This Edison Oil Bottle, Grease Container and Oil Container were used in the maintenance of Edison phonographs. The oil from the bottle was poured into the oil container, which normally had a small screw-on spout, instead of the cork that you see here. The grease was used on the gears inside the phonograph motor. Box holding glass small bottles. Box: 2 pieces, one open on top to cardboard compartments (12) for each bottle. On top and second piece slides horizontally over first part to hold flops down and support bottom cardboard is old worn, with water stains and fraying tape. 12 oil glass bottles , filled with yellow oil with corks lids., |
