Description |
Edison Standard Phonograph Model B. Produced from October to December of 1905. Played 2-minute cylinders and could play up to four with a complete winding. The winding crank screwed on the shaft inside the box, whereas before the crank had notches that fit into the box. Known as the "tall standard" because the motor was suspended from the underside of the top plate and had to be constructed a little higher than the Model A. (Source - Edison Cylinder Phonograph Companion by George L. Frow, pgs. 118-119.) Small phonograph with crank on right side and clampt on each side for a lid. Player is painted back. |
