Description |
Edison produced the Blue Amberol cylinders from 1912 to 1929. These cylinders played for 4 minutes. They were not as fragile as the previous black Amberol and Gold-Moulded cylinders were but shrinkage and deformity of the celluloid composite caused the Blue Amberol series to not play well sometimes and their sound quality was not as good as the earlier wax cylinders. This particular cylinder recording is German. Edison's later series of Blue Amberol cylinders were recordings in different languages. |
