Description |
Plaquette with profile relief of man, mounted on plaque "Inoranzea Volta Nel I Centenario Pella Pila". In background relief of large building. Above this "Esposizione Elettrieita' Industria Serica Como MDCCCXCIX (1899)". On reverse - floral garland with shield in center. Beneath this, "Tesser di Riconosciment Per Il Sig. Edison Thomas Alva." Silver-colored aluminum. Catalog Work Sheet Marks text as above Rectangular silver-colored light metal plaquette, front relief portrait of bolta in top left corner, city scene in relief in mid to right bottom. Inscription is in relief. On back shield with symmetrical garlands dropping from it. All inscription is in relief except Edison's name (engraved). Metal is dull by nature, but is scratched and a bit dirty. |
