Description |
Mazda was a name brand of bulb made by General Electric, a company associated with Thomas Edison. The name came from Ahura Mazda, the universal God of Zoroastrianism, whose name meant the light of wisdom in the language of Avestan. The first tungsten bulbs were given this name when the name was first used in 1909. |
