Description |
In low relief, building with two globes behind and scroll across front. Engraved on scroll "Thomas Alva Edison". Above building "Public Service". In center "The World". Below "1883-1893, May 10". On reverse calendar of 1893. Silver. Catalog Work Sheet Marks: text as above. Round silver medallion with relief drawing on front of the New York World building with two globes emerging from behind it with the sun. Banner spreads across bottom, TAE's name engraved on it. All letters on front are relief except TAE's name. Back has engraved calendar and date at bottom. Tarnished in blotches all over. |
