Description |
Profile relief of young Edison, scalloped edge, around rim, "Edison Elec. Lt. Co. Phila. Electric Co. 1889-1914". On reverse, one laurel branch engraved "Thomas A. Edison." Attached by ring to blue and yellow ribbon. Bronze. Catalog Work Sheet Marks text as above Round bronze medal with even indentations along edge. All letters on front in relief, as is side bust of a fairly young Edison, on back is a garland running along left edge - Edison's name is engraved in middle to right center leaves are in relief. Ribbon is yellow and blue, frayed at edges and greatly faded on outer surface. Metal is tarnished, especially on back and in relief crevices. |
